Barstool Sports owner Dave Portnoy is quitting sports gambling – again. In his announcement, Portnoy joined the millions of NFL fans around the world who slammed the refereeing in Sunday night’s AFC championship game between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Buffalo Bills. The Chiefs are headed to their third straight Super Bowl and a chance to be the first “Three Peat” winner in Super Bowl history after their 32 – 29 victory, but many fans are crying foul over what they believe were rulings made by officials deliberately to aid the Chiefs.

Dave Portnoy took to Twitter after the game to join he conspiracy theorists declaring, “This is the most disgusting thing. I’m not watching football ever again. I quit football. I quit.”

The “disgusting thing” in Portnoy’s mind were the calls made in favor of the Kansas City Chiefs, and there were many.

“The biggest hosejob I’ve ever f—king seen,” Portnoy said over a video lip he shared in the post of one of the “bad calls” made during the game.

Dave Portnoy, like millions who watched the game, thought that after the play in question the ball should have been spotted passed the first down marker.

“First of all, the third-and-3 play, this spot is disgusting. Knee’s not down,” he said. “This is a first down. So that spot, off. That’s a bad spot right there by, I don’t know, half a yard right there? And then we’re gonna go for it on fourth down, which we all know what happens.”

Portnoy pointed a finger of blame clearly at the referees saying, “But the fact that these refs, who decides where … first of all, this is clearly a first down. It’s like not even f–king close. And then what is this? That one ref is way past and another one’s a foot off, you just randomly decide where you’re throwing the football? What if the other guy got the spot?”

The Kansas City Chiefs will face the Philadelphia Eagles in two weeks in Super Bowl LIX in New Orleans in two weeks, in a rematch of Super Bowl LVII two year ago that Kansas City won 38 – 35.
