Eliezer Feldstein, the main suspect in the PMO leak scandal, is to be released to house arrest, Israel's Supreme Court ruled on Monday.

The additional suspect, a reserve IDF NCO whose identity has not been approved for publication, is set to remain in custody.

Feldstein and the NCO have been detained since late October.

Last week, it was reported that the State Attorney’s Office was set to appeal the district court's decision to release the two to house arrest.

Regional court's decision

Tel Aviv Regional Court judge Ala’a Masarwa wrote in the decision to release them to house arrest last week that the danger in their release related to their connection to the prime minister’s office.

Masarwa also mentioned the fact that both defendants participated in the investigation and expressed regret as a factor in ordering their release to house arrest.

Eliav Breuer contributed to this report.
