Israeli authorities on heightened alert as Islamic holy month, Ramadan, begins Saturday

Unlike in previous years, Passover does not coincide with the dates of the Muslim holy month this year, so tensions surrounding Ramadan are lower than usual, however, there are concerns within Israel's security community about attempts by terror cells to carry out attacks within the country.
