Preoccupied with Ukraine, Russia needs Iran to save embattled Assad in Syria

Even though the threat to Russian assets in Syria is very real, after the anti-Assad rebels' lightning advance into Aleppo, the response in Moscow has been muted. Together with Iran and Hezbollah, Russia saved its Syrian protege once before – but this time, it has little to offer
