Israeli source denies claims that Emily Thornberry was secretly filmed at Knesset meeting

A Knesset staff member has denied claims of secretly filming a senior British politician at a meeting in Israel.

Former Shadow Foreign Secretary and current Foreign Affairs Select Committee Chair Emily Thornberry accused an Israeli politician of secretly recording and sharing footage of the British delegation at the Knesset without their consent.

Earlier this week, at a Select Committee meeting, Thornberry launched a scathing attack on Israeli Deputy Foreign Minister Sharren Haskel, condemning her for posting the video on Instagram.

However, a Knesset staff member who was present at the meeting told the JC that the meeting was openly filmed and that no one from the British delegation requested it be off the record.
