Trump Administration Ends Biden’s Ban on Bomb Deliveries to Israel

President Donald Trump has walked back a ban on bomb deliveries to Israel implemented by his predecessor, President Joe Biden.

The Trump White House instructed the Pentagon on Saturday (Jan. 25) to release the Biden-era hold on a shipment of 2,000-pound bombs to the Jewish State, according to Axios and Reuters.

The Israeli government was formally notified on Friday about the release of the munitions.

The shipment of 1,800 MK-84 bombs will be delivered to the Jewish State in the coming days, Israeli sources told Axios.

The White House has not yet released an official statement on the move, nor has the Israeli government.

Biden froze the delivery in May 2024 in an attempt to prevent Israeli military forces from entering the southern Gaza city of Rafah, claiming fear over the fate of civilians living there.

Israel evacuated the civilians from the city and invaded anyway.

More than 100 Hamas terrorist tunnels – including many snaking under the border between Gaza and Egypt – were subsequently dismantled by the Israel Defense Forces. Numerous weapons caches and terrorist were eliminated in the city as well.
